Terra Mission Status Update
February 2 - 8, 2007
Terra spacecraft and instrument subsystems are in nominal operations.
Terra experienced a data loss as a result of addressing a High Gain Antenna (HGA) Motor Drive Assembly (MDA2) buffer failure. There is a standard procedure to follow when a MDA2 buffer is affected by radiation. In this case, the operator did not correctly determine which buffers were affected.
Four buffers of science data were lost.
