July 16 - 22, 2004

The Terra spacecraft is operating nominally. All five instruments are in science mode.

A MODIS lunar calibration roll maneuver is being planned for Wednesday, August 4, 2004. The slew angle for the maneuver will be approximately 6 degrees. Mission rules define 20 degrees as the maximum allowed roll angle for this maneuver.

Increased atmospheric drag caused by solar activity in association with the large sunspot group now present on the Sun may necessitate a delta-V maneuver for Terra in August. Terra Flight Operations Team (FOT) Flight Dynamics engineers are assessing these affects and upcoming maneuver needs.

Terra FOT engineers continue to support ongoing Aura activation and checkout activities.
