Terra Weekly Mission Status Update Weekly Update Archive July 9 - 15, 2004 The Terra spacecraft is operating nominally. All five instruments are in science mode. On Saturday, July 3, the prime Terra Flight Dynamics System (FDS) machine experienced problems. Access to the HP1 disk drive containing the product generation working directories and the Attitude Carryout directory failed. Attempts to fix the drive worked only temporarily. This forced operations to “failover” to the backup. Vendor service has since addressed the drive problems that necessitated the failover. A MODIS lunar calibration roll maneuver will be conducted on August 5, 2004.
