Terra Weekly Mission Status Update
Weekly Update Archive

June 11-17, 2004

The Terra spacecraft is operating nominally. All five instruments are in science mode.

The delta-V maneuver to compensate for atmospheric drag originally scheduled for mid-July will be moved to June 24, 2004, as a result of scheduling issues complicating the original mid-July planning. The Aura spacecraft launch date moved into July and would reduce personnel availability during that timeframe.

MODIS lunar calibration roll maneuvers will be resumed in July after a hiatus of 2 months. Maneuvers were suspended for May and June because the lunar view would have required a roll in excess of the maximum value of 20 degrees allowed by the mission rules.
