The Moderate resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) has a viewing swath more than 2,300 km wide. The MODIS instrument will see the entire surface of the Earth every day, with narrow gaps at the equator that are filled in on the following day. MODIS is managed by NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center.
