The Multi-angle Imaging Spectroradiometer (MISR), sees the Earth at nine different look angles-four ahead of the spacecraft, four aft of the spacecraft, and one at nadir. MISR's multiple look angles enables it to collect stereoscopic measurements of the structures of clouds and aerosol plumes. Designed and built at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, MISR will achieve global coverage every 9 days.
